Henry County Telephone Company helps train Atkinson Firemen

In our continued effort to give back to the communities we serve, the Henry County Telephone Company is pleased to be part of helping the Atkinson Fire Protection District acquire new training equipment for its volunteer force.

Funds provided by the Henry County Telephone Company will aid in purchasing a new laptop computer and LCD projector. This equipment will be used to enhance the firemen's training as well as the communities' fire prevention education and awareness programs. Atkinson Fire Chief, Bob Floming said, "Weekly training is a critical part of maintaining safety and firefighting skills. This new equipment will allow our department to view DVD and other media type training presentations. Through our training software we can track each individual fire fighters progress allowing us to replay training sets to help enhance our skills and be better prepared when our services are needed."

The Atkinson Fire District serves Atkinson and the Henry County area including Annawan, Cambridge, Geneseo and Kewanee. Henry County Telephone Company salutes our volunteer fire fighters and is proud to be of part of helping acquire this new equipment which impacts so many.
